The FASTBRACES® TURBO^TM bracket is lightweight and robust with an overall outline and low profile that ensures optimum protection for the interior surface of the lips and gums for minimum irritation during treatment.

Fastbraces Turbo brackets allow us to decrease total treatment time even further than with Fastbraces Original brackets, however, the design changes in the turbo bracket are only available in the metal bracket option at present.

Congratulations to Dr Krystal Tarak for being the FIRST New Zealand based dentist to achieve ‘Senior Master Provider’ status with FASTBRACES® technologies. FASTBRACES® allows our patients to experience affordable and fast orthodontic treatment in a fraction of the time of traditional methods.

‘Senior Master Provider’ status is given to only the most experienced FASTBRACES® clinicians, based on the sheer volume of orthodontic cases finished to an exceptional orthodontic standard. This status also allows the use of the newly released FASTBRACES® TURBO brackets, which halves treatment time again! With FASTBRACES® Turbo we measure time in days not months. As well as being the first ‘Master Provider’ in Auckland, Krystal then became the First ‘Senior Master’ Provider in New Zealand, and then the first ‘Turbo Certified’ Fastbraces Provider in NZ.

Dr Krystal is also the chair of the Fastbraces NZ Study Group – and regularly provides mentoring and support to other Fastbraces providers both in NZ and globally.

Dr Krystal Tarak has attended multiple FASTBRACES® courses in New Zealand, Australia and in Dallas, Texas, USA at the Fastbraces University Campus – the home of Fastbraces, and is very confident to give our patients the best possible treatment utilising the latest FASTBRACES® technology. How long is the treatment?

Treatment times range from 3 months to around a year. Fastbraces® Technology typically works with just one orthodontic wire from start to finish, whereas old braces usually require a series of wires and tightening procedures.

Fastbraces Technology uses a special square super-elastic nickel titanium wire which is activated by the special triangular design of the braces. This dynamic wire helps upright the whole tooth using the natural temperature of the mouth in just one stage. Now tratment time really can be measured in months instead of years!

Is it safe?

Over twenty-five years of history, thousands of consecutively treated patients and university research have shown that Fastbraces® are not only safe but offer many additional benefits. Patients often experience less discomfort and there are no more risks with Fastbraces® than those associated with traditional braces. Additionally, the fact that the braces are on for less time in total means that there is possibly less chance of tooth decay or gum issues due to improper oral hygiene during the treatment phase.

Is Fastbraces affordable?

Fastbraces® Orthodontics Technology is very affordable. Treatment typically takes just a few visits to our clinic. Fewer visits mean less money spent, less petrol used getting to and from the doctor’s office and less time off school or work for adjustments. Our orthodontic payment plan makes budgeting for your braces easy – and there are no hidden costs. All our orthodontic treatment plans include everything that is required for the smile you want from start to finish, including all initial diagnostic and treatment planning records (xrays, photos and study models of your teeth) as well as all adjustment appointments and BOTH fixed and removable retainers as appropriate at the end of treatment. We are upfront and clear about our payment terms so there are no surprises!

What about pain reduction?

Advances in technology are rapidly changing the way braces straighten teeth, the length of time it takes, the cost, and the comfort level. Research has shown lower sensitivity from greater pain reduction with the bracket system of Fastbraces® Technology. The triangular bracket system allows for less friction and force to be applied in order to gain a tooth movement, resulting in decreased discomfort for our patients. We don’t say that it will be ‘pain-free’, but our vast experience with orthodontic appliances means that we can give you all the tips and tricks we have learnt over the years to make your adjustment to your new appliance as comfortable as possible.
