Wanting to provide fair and quality dentistry to the area she grew up in, our principal dentist & owner Dr. Krystal Tarak created All Smiles Dental.

After spending a couple of years practicing in Balmoral the vast growth of our practice and desire to introduce modern dental technologies such as scanning technology and laser dentistry encouraged us to expand on our services and open at a new custom designed location which lends itself to the services we provide.

With all of this in mind All Smiles Dental® was born in January 2014.

I’m the owner of All Smiles Dental. I pride myself on my ability to make patients feel at ease, and my friendly, gentle nature ensures that even the most apprehensive patient is well cared for and has a pleasant dental experience. I take the time to make sure that all treatment options are clearly explained and that the treatment plan recommended is always tailored to the needs of each individual I see.

My main areas of interest are in orthodontic and cosmetic dentistry as well as oral surgery, a field in which I gained vast experience during my time as a Dental and Maxillofacial House Surgeon at Wellington Regional Hospital. I worked largely with medically compromised and special needs patients as well as attending to trauma and emergency cases during this time.

My commitment to continual professional development and excellence sees my attendance at many continuing education opportunities to ensure I am always at the forefront of the latest technology and advancement in the dental field, and I actively put this knowledge into practice in my daily clinical work. I am proud to say that I have over 6 times the legally mandated ‘minimum’ of continuing education to maintain my Annual Practicing Certificate with the Dental Council of New Zealand – because I love to learn!

I have completed a two and a half year course of study in Orthodontics with Progressive Orthodontic Systems, in which I graduated with Honours status for exceptional examination results and clinical cases. I am also an accredited and certified provider of Invisalign, Inman Aligner, Clear Correct, Myobrace and Fastbraces orthodontic systems.

In 2017 I became the FIRST Senior Master Provider of Fastbraces in New Zealand – joining a limited number of Senior Master providers worldwide – a recognition of the volume of cases finished to a high orthodontic standard.

I enjoy being able to make your dental experience as comfortable as possible with our use of ‘sleep’ dentistry and IV sedation, for which I am accredited through the NZ Society of Sedation in Dentistry, and genuinely feel that the more relaxed you are – the more relaxed I am – and I can fully focus on the task at hand! Dentistry need not be a stressful experience for the patient or for the dentist! At All Smiles we do what we love and love what we do – and want to be able to share that with our loyal patients.

I have completed my Primary Examinations in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and have also gained University of Queensland accreditation in the use of Dental Lasers.

I have furthermore completed training in both the E4D and Cerec systems of CAD/CAM dentistry and am excited to be able to offer advanced restorative options to our patients via use of our ITERO intraoral scanner at our clinic, allowing us to send scanned images of your teeth to dental labs within minutes!

I am a local Mt Eden resident and grew up in Central Auckland attending local schools, and am the proud mum of two very bubbly girls and a gorgeous boy who keep me busy outside of work, and who never fail to put a smile on my face and help me keep life in perspective as only children can do!

Dr. Chaelin Kim

I graduated from the University of Otago and started my career as a dentist in Pegasus, North Canterbury. After gaining experience, perfecting my gentle Dentistry approach, we made the decision to return to my long-time home of Auckland to be closer to family and friends. I am a caring professional striving for a comfortable and pain-free experience for all my patients with a keen interest in all aspects of Dentistry including root canal treatments and extractions.

I live locally in Mount Eden with my husband, daughter and dog. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and eating amazing food.

Hi, I am Grace and I will be helping you here at All Smiles with your oral health needs. I was born in America but grew up in Christchurch. In 2014 I graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Otago.

Sabrina Frankland

With over a decade of experience in Dentistry since beginning my career in 2013, I bring a strong clinical foundation and a comprehensive understanding of patient care.

I completed my Bachelor of Health Sciences (Oral Health) at Auckland University of Technology to further expand my scope and provide preventative focused care to our patients.

My background includes four years in a Specialist Implant and Periodontic practice, assisting with complex surgical procedures such as dental implants, connective tissue grafting and sinus augmentation. This experience has shaped my clinical precision, attention to detail, and commitment to long-term oral health outcomes.

I am passionate about creating a calm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, comfortable and confident in their oral health journey.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my boys, as well as gaming and reading.

Jess Lan

Practice Manager

I was born and raised in Tauranga. I started off in the fashion industry which I still have huge interest in, before moving into the dental field.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my 5 year old daughter and taking our energetic Shiba Inu named Kobe for nice long walks and trying out different cafes and restaurants around Auckland.

I work closely with all of our clinicians to ensure you are made as comfortable as possible throughout your dental experience and aim to have you leave our clinic smiling.

Liva Saulgrieze

Office Manager

With over 10 years of experience in the beauty field I understand the importance of building relationships with clients and ensuring they are welcomed, valued and cared for.

I am proud to be the Office Manager at All Smiles Dental. What I love most about my job is the opportunity to make a positive impact on each patient’s experience right from the moment they walk through the door. Whether it’s helping you feel comfortable before an appointment, answering questions, or simply ensuring your visit runs smoothly, I truly enjoy being part of a team that prioritizes patient care. Knowing that I contribute to creating a welcoming, organized environment where patients feel at ease is incredibly rewarding. Each day brings a new chance to connect with people and make their dental visit as stress-free and pleasant as possible.

I am a mom to a 4 year old boy and also 1 year old border collie. In my free time I love to go for walks, exploring different parts of Auckland, going to the gym and sometimes doing some DIY jobs around the house.

I am originally from the UK and have been working in the dental field since 2019, alongside a variety of dentists with different specialties and interests. I spent three years with the NHS in England, where I also completed my Diploma in Dental Assisting. In 2022, I made the move to New Zealand and have thoroughly enjoyed experiencing both the similarities and unique differences in dental practice and social culture.

Dental Assistant

I enjoy working in the dental industry as I have a passion for helping others and a general interest in health care. I particularly enjoy the fast paced environment and the positive impact that dental treatment can make on people’s lives. Working in dentistry has led me to pursue a degree in Oral Health Therapy which I currently am undertaking full time.

Outside of work and study, I spend most of my free time with my two labradors, family and friends. I enjoy travelling, reading and trying out new food places in Auckland!

I have always been passionate about healthcare and the importance of helping others. As the friendly face that greets you at All Smiles, I strive to make each person feel seen and a little less nervous when they walk through our doors.

I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in psychology, with a special interest in child and family therapy, and am excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact in these areas.

In my downtime, I enjoy baking, hiking and discovering new tv shows to add to my ever-growing binge-watching list!
